Guided Programme

In the beginning of the program, Major Notz salutes and takes control of the troops. In the Bunker Museum's indoor exhibition, you'll peer into a tar-scented dugout, marvel at the familiar-looking Mannerheim statue and learn about the construction of the Salpa defense line, Finland's largest ever building project, which is also the subject of a short film. Equipping yourself with a camouflage jacket, a sandbag and a pack, you will get into the mood and enter the maze of compound trenches and the twilight of reinforced concrete barracks under the guidance of Major Notz. With a history lesson, it's easy to indulge your imagination in the atmosphere of wartime. The tour culminates in a meal or coffee in the twilight of a concrete cage, at a table in a covered inn, with wartime music playing.
